The Group has two state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facilities in Tamil Nadu dedicated for IMFL and BEER with production capacities of 9 mil. cases p.a. each, and another unit in Coimbatore for IMFL with 12 mil. cases p.a., and one unit in Kunigal, Karnataka, for IMFL with a capacity of 3.6 mi. cases p.a. Kals Distilleries is the first in Tamil Nadu to have received the Site Appraisal Committee Certification in the industry.
KALS Distilleries' Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) unit is situated on a 20 acre plot in the industrially backward district of Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, provides direct employment to almost 400 people of the surrounding villages. It has a modern bottling plant with 16 production lines. The plant is manned by highly efficient manpower and rigid quality control procedures are in place to ensure consistent high quality products to the consumer.
IMFL is packed in glass bottles of 1000 ml, 750 ml, 375 ml and 180 ml sizes. Every batch and product undergoes strict quality control tests before being bottled for consumption.
In order to be part of the growing consumption of the beer business and also to be a full-spectrum alcoholic beverage company in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, KALS set up a brewery in 2011. The plant is located at Kunnathur Village in Illupur taluk of Pudukkottai district, in a 34.59 acre plot and started commercial production in 2012. The Brewery Plant is a fully-automatic plant, installed in collaboration with Krones, Germany, and is the best-in-class in the country with end-to-end manufacturing. It is one of the few brewery plants in the country with Can Beer Line, which will service the export market.
Kals Group has a tie-up with Fitch for Product Development and a tie-up with VLB, Germany, that enables the Group to access latest knowledge and developments in the beer industry.
